Benjamin Bauld and Two Children Injured in Angelina County Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 103 at SH 7

Angelina County, Texas (June 26, 2020) – Three people, including two children, were injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Angelina County, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. on June 25, at the intersection of State Highway 103 and State Highway 7.

DPS said 33-year-old Benjamin Bauld was driving a Ford pickup westbound on SH 7 and turned left to cross SH 103 to get onto a private drive.

Bauld drove into the path of a semi-truck driven by 31-year-old Jorge Vasquez and was hit.

Bauld was airlifted to a Tyler hospital in an unknown condition.

A 10-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy in the pickup truck were taken to a Lufkin hospital for treatment.

Vasquez was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
