Benjamin Sanchez IV Killed in Belton Pedestrian Accident on FM 439

Belton, Texas (October 3, 2022) – A Killeen man was fatally hit by a vehicle early Sunday morning, 3 miles west of Belton, according to the DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 12:40 a.m., October 2, on FM 439.

DPS said Benjamin Charles Sanchez IV, 30, was walking westbound in the eastbound lane when he was struck by an eastbound 2012 Volkswagen Beetle driven by a 22-year-old man.

Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Volkswagen driver was uninjured in the crash.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
