Bernard Kifer III Dies in Nacogdoches County Pedestrian Crash on Highway 59 South

Nacogdoches County, Texas (May 10, 2019) – A man was fatally hit by a vehicle in Nacogdoches County on Tuesday night, police said.
The crash happened at about 10 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, in the 5400 block of highway 59 south.
Police said they received reports of a pedestrian darting in and out of the roadway. When the authorities got to the scene, they found that a pedestrian had been hit by vehicles.
The victim, identified as Bernard Charles Kifer III, 32, of Zavalla, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
