Humberto Escajeda ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Crash at Montana Avenue and Willow Street

El Paso, Texas (November 18, 2023) – The police have identified 33-year-old Humberto Escajeda as a pedestrian struck and killed by vehicles in El Paso early Friday morning.

The fatal auto-pedestrian crash occurred at around 4:30 a.m. November 17, on the 2100 block of Montana Avenue at Willow Street.

Reportedly, a 45-year-old man was driving eastbound on Montana when he struck Escajeda who was crossing in an undesignated area.

Escajeda was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver behind the wheel stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. He was not charged.

More details about the wreck were not provided.

An investigation is ongoing.

El Paso, Texas (November 17, 2023) – Authorities are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian at an intersection in El Paso Friday morning, according to a police report. 

The deadly crash was reported around 4:25 a.m. in the area of Montana Avenue and Willow Street. 

Police say the crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian, adding that one person was killed in the incident. 

The cause of the crash was not immediately disclosed. The collision remains under investigation.
