Duncanville Woman Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on President George Bush Turnpike in Carrollton

Carrollton, Texas (December 19, 2022) – A 23-year-old woman from Duncanville was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon in Carrollton, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The deadly crash happened at about 4:26 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, on the President George Bush Turnpike, just before I35E.

DPS said a passenger car was traveling westbound on the President George Bush Turnpike when the driver slowed to a stop in the far right lane due to traffic.

Another passenger car failed to control its speed and crashed into the back end of the stopped car. After the impact, the second passenger car traveled across all lanes and collided with a commercial truck.

The driver of the second passenger car died at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.

The other two drivers, a 38-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man, were not seriously hurt in the crash.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

DPS is investigating the crash.
