Austin Reese Killed in Hit-and-Run on Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land

Austin Reese Killed in Sugar Land Pedestrian Accident on Southwest Freeway near South Parkway

Sugar Land, Texas (December 24, 2021) – A man was killed Monday night in a hit-and-run accident in Sugar Land, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just before 9:00 p.m., December 20, on the northbound service road of the Southwest Freeway near South Parkway.

Police said Austin Reese, 37, was walking on the freeway when he was struck by a light-colored 2003-2004 Pontiac Vibe.

The driver fled the scene after the accident.

Reese was pronounced dead at the scene.

The authorities are looking for the suspect.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with any information about the crash or the suspect is asked to call the Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS. All tips remain anonymous, and the tipster could be eligible for a cash reward.
