Randall Wheeler Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 84 in Tuscola

Randall Wheeler ID’d as Man Killed in Tuscola Crash on U.S. Highway 84 at FM 613

Tuscola, Texas (April 14, 2022) –Authorities have identified the man who died Monday morning following a two-vehicle crash in Tuscola as Randall G. Wheeler, 68, of Buffalo Gap.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash happened at around 6:15 a.m. Monday, April 11, on U.S. Highway 84 at FM 613.

As per the DPS report, a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Eddie W. Croft, 45, of Coleman, was heading southbound on U.S. Highway 84 while Wheeler was driving a 2013 Hyundai Sonata.

Wheeler was attempting to turn onto the highway from FM 613 when his vehicle was struck on the driver’s side door by the Silverado.

Wheeler, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.

It was not immediately known if the pickup driver was injured in the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The DPS is investigating the accident.
