Juanita Venegas ID’d as Woman Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Basse Road

San Antonio, Texas (December 21, 2019) – The woman who was killed in a pedestrian accident Thursday night in San Antonio has been identified as Juanita Venegas, 78, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The accident took place around 7:30 p.m., December 19, in the 100 block of Basse Road near the Alamo Quarry Market.

Police said a 2011 Hyundai Elantra was heading westbound on Basse Road, switching lanes, when Venegas attempted to run across the road and was hit.

Venegas was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Elantra driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

The police are investigating the crash.
