Man Killed in Highlands Bicycle Accident on Barbers Hill Road near Madeline Street

Highlands, Texas (October 22, 2019) – A man was killed Monday night in a bicycle accident near Highlands, according to the authorities.

The crash was reported around 7:00 p.m. on October 21, on Barbers Hill Road near Madeline Street.

Authorities said a man and his fiancée were riding their bikes when he heard or saw something that caused him to push his fiancée off her bike. He was then struck by the vehicle from behind.

The man was declared dead at the scene.

The involved driver stayed at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
