Marlene and Magdaly Olivas Killed in Ector County 4-Vehicle Crash on FM 181

Ector County, Texas (October 22, 2020) – Three people were killed Tuesday morning in a four-vehicle crash in Ector County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened just after 7:00 a.m., October 20, on FM 181, north of Goldspring.

DPS said Marlene Olivas, 25, was driving a GMC Terrain southbound while a Ford F-250, an 18-wheeler, and a Chevrolet Silverado were traveling northbound. 

The GMC crossed the centerline into the northbound lane, sideswiped the Ford and the 18-wheeler before crashing head-on into the Silverado.

Marlene and her passenger, Magdaly Olivas, nine-months-old, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Silverado driver, Glenn Juarez, 30, of El Paso, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

The people in the other two vehicles were uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
