Two Hurt in San Antonio Traffic Crash at Vestal Place and Commercial Avenue

San Antonio, Texas (June 25, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized after being involved in a traffic crash at an intersection on the South Side Sunday night, police said.

The incident took place near the intersection of Vestal Place and Commercial Avenue on Sunday, June 23.

According to investigators, the driver of a black car failed to stop for a red light and collided with a vehicle near the intersection.

Two people riding in the vehicle that was struck were left with minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Three people in the black car got out and left the scene before the authorities arrived.

A suspect was later located and arrested by the authorities. Police suspect the driver was under the influence at the time of the crash. The suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run

The San Antonio Police Department is investigating the crash.
