Brenda Castorena ID’d as Person Killed in Lubbock Crash at 4th Street and Toledo Avenue
Lubbock, Texas (April 8, 2019) – Authorities have identified the person who was killed Saturday afternoon in a traffic accident in Lubbock as Brenda Castorena, 18.
The tragic crash took place at about 3:40 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at the intersection of 4th Street and Toledo Avenue.
According to reports, a car driven by Castorena was heading eastbound on 4th Street in a turn lane when it continued traveling and struck a pickup truck hauling a trailer, which was in a westbound lane.
Castorena sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital and later died at the hospital.
The 22-year-old male passenger of the car and the 71-year-old male driver of the pickup truck sustained serious injuries and was also taken to a hospital.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
