Anselmo Alonzo and Brenda Alonzo Killed in Troup Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 110

Troup, Texas (August 13, 2020) – Two people were killed, and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night near Troup, according to DPS.

The fatal crash happened just before 9:45 p.m., August 11, on State Highway 110.

DPS said a 2015 Hyundai Accent was traveling northbound on the improved shoulder of the highway when it attempted to make a U-Turn and was hit by a northbound Kia Optima.

The Accent driver, 68-year-old Anselmo Alonzo, and his passenger, 68-year-old Brenda Alonzo, were taken to the hospital where they later died.

The Optima driver, 20-year-old Dmarea Suing, sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
