Carol Ansel Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Kimberly Lane

Houston, Texas (October 20, 2020) – A woman was fatally hit by a car Monday morning in the Memorial area of west Houston, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 7:00 a.m., October 19, in the 13100 block of Kimberly Lane, near Brittmoore Road.

Authorities said a 70-year-old woman was driving with a 2-year-old in her car when she blacked out and struck Carol Ansel, 70, who was walking with a friend.

The car continued traveling, and it took down a stop sign.

Ansel was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. 

The woman remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The 2-year-old was uninjured in the crash.

An investigation is underway.
