One Person Killed in Horizon City Bicycle Accident on Horizon Boulevard near Darrington Road

Horizon City, Texas (September 27, 2023) – A bicyclist died after being struck by a vehicle early Monday morning in El Paso, according to the Horizon Police Department.

The deadly crash happened shortly before 3:00 a.m. Monday, September 25, on Horizon Boulevard near Darrington Road.

Horizon police said the bicyclist was hit by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene.

The cyclist, whose name has not been disclosed, died as a result of the crash.

Authorities temporarily closed the north and southbound lanes of Darrington from Horizon Crossing to the intersection of Horizon Blvd and Darrington Road.

No other details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
