Robert Duke ID’d as Man Killed in Nederland Crash on Hwy 366 near Hwy 347

Nederland, Texas (September 9, 2019) – The man who was killed Sunday evening in a traffic collision in Nederland has been identified as Robert Duke,52, of Port Neches, according to a local news source.

The accident happened around 7:00 p.m. September 8, in the 100 block of FM 366 near Highway 347.

According to a preliminary investigation, Duke was driving a 2004 Ford pickup eastbound on the highway, when he veered left and hit an unoccupied construction vehicle.

Duke was killed in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
