Brandon Cepeda Killed in Killeen Pedestrian Crash on SH 195

Killeen, Texas (November 15, 2021) – A 24-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning in a pedestrian accident in Killeen, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 4:00 a.m., November 14, on State Highway 195, north of the Lampasas River overpass.

Police said a grey 2005 Infiniti G35 was disabled in the outside lane of northbound SH 195, and the driver, Brandon William Cepeda, 24, exited and stood near the vehicle in the roadway.

A grey 2011 Hyundai Sonata was traveling northbound in the outside lane of the highway when it collided with the disabled Infiniti and hit Cepeda.

The impact caused the Hyundai to cross over the center median and come to a rest facing northbound in the southbound lanes.

Cepeda was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Hyundai driver was taken to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple with non-life-threatening injuries.

The police are investigating the crash.
