Man Killed in 18-Wheeler Accident at South Broadway and Wildcat Way in Sulphur Springs

57-Year-Old Sulphur Springs Man Killed in South Broadway Crash
Sulphur Springs, Texas (May 9, 2019) – A 57-year-old Sulphur Springs man was killed Wednesday morning in a traffic crash at an intersection in Sulphur Springs, according to a local news source.
The deadly wreck happened at around 8:08 a.m. Wednesday, May 8 at South Broadway and Wildcat Way.
Authorities said an SUV and an 18-wheeler were involved in the collision.
The 57-year-old Sulphur Springs man, who was a passenger in the SUV, was taken to CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the SUV, a 49-year-old woman, was also transported to CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital where she was listed in stable condition.
The operator of the truck was unhurt in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
