Brantley Mitchell ID’d as Man Killed in Ector County Motorcycle Crash on FM 2020

Ector County, Texas (July 23, 2019) – The motorcyclist who was killed Friday evening in a traffic accident in Ector County has been identified as Brantley Mitchell, 18, of  Odessa, according to authorities.

The deadly accident happened at about 5:34 p.m. Friday, July 19 on Farm to Market 2020, approximately 3 miles west of Odessa.

Authorities said Mitchell was driving a 2018 Honda Motorcycle eastbound on FM 2020 while Dustin Biggerstaff, 33, was operating a 2014 Ford F-150 and was stopped at the intersection of Uranus and FM 2020, facing southbound.

Biggerstaff failed to yield right of way to Mitchell and tried to cross FM 2020 onto a private drive, striking the motorcycle.

Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
