Brian Ortiz Killed in Dallas Motorcycle Crash on West Illinois Avenue at Pierce Street

Dallas, Texas (October 4, 2020) – One person was killed Thursday night in a motorcycle crash in Dallas, according to police.

The fatal crash happened around 10:15 p.m., October 1, in the 2700 block of West Illinois Avenue at the intersection with Pierce Street.

Police said 20-year-old Brian Ortiz was riding a motorcycle eastbound at a high rate of speed when he hit a red-colored sedan driven by a 19-year-old man that was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection.

Ortiz was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Dallas police are investigating the crash.
