San Antonio, Texas (October 8, 2021) – A 3-year-old girl was injured Wednesday night after a car crashed into her bedroom in San Antonio, according to a local news source.

The crash happened just after 11:30 p.m., October 6, in the 600 block of Wyndale.

According to the report, Carlos Duran and his three children were all asleep inside the home when a car crashed into the front wall of one of the bedrooms. The 3-year-old girl was sleeping in that bedroom and the impact sent her bed flying about six feet.

The girl sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Duran and the other two children, a 10-year-old and a 12-year-old were uninjured in the crash.

The car driver attempted to flee the scene on foot but he was arrested only a few blocks away. He was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

An investigation is underway.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws, or statutes which were violated.
