Bryan Pesina, Joan Palacios, and Juan Palacios ID’d as Three Killed in Nolan County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 153

Nolan County, Texas (November 11, 2019) – The three people who were killed Sunday evening in a head-on collision in Nolan County have been identified as Bryan Isaac Pesina, 20, of Dale, Joan Palacios, 43, and Juan Palacios, 47, both of Crosbyton, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash took place around 6:50 p.m. November 10, on Highway 153, north of Turkey Track Ranch, about 20 miles south of Sweetwater.

DPS said a blue Toyota and a white Dodge Charger were involved in the collision. One of the vehicles was heading southbound when it attempted to pass an 18-wheeler in a no-passing zone and crashed head-on into the other car.

Bryan, Joan, and Juan were pronounced dead at the scene.

22-year-old Katerina Pesina of Crosbyton was airlifted to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with severe injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
