Woman Seriously Injured in DWI Crash on West Avenue in San Antonio

21-Year-Old Woman Seriously Injured in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on West Avenue near IH-10

San Antonio, Texas (November 9, 2021) – A 21-year-old woman was seriously injured early Sunday morning in a DWI crash in San Antonio, according to the police.

The crash happened around 12:55 a.m., November 7, in the 2700 block of West Avenue at San Angelo Street, near IH-10.

Police said a 2019 Ford Raptor was turning left from San Angelo Street onto West Avenue when it failed to yield right of way and was hit by a southbound 2014 Ford Fusion.

The force of the impact caused the Raptor to rotate and crash into a utility pole.

A 21-year-old woman who was the rear passenger in the Raptor was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.

The Raptor driver was arrested for DWI.

The police are investigating the crash.
