Two Die in Belton Car Collision on Interstate 14 near Simmons Road

Belton, Texas (June 27, 2019) – Two people were killed in a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday morning in Belton, according to the authorities.

The crash took place at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, on Interstate 14 near Simmons Road exit.

Authorities said a 2015 blue Chevy Cruze was heading eastbound on westbound I-14 when it collided with a 2008 white Nissan Altima.

A 30-year-old man who was driving the Cruze was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Altima, a 20-year-old man, was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple, where he was pronounced deceased at 4:05 a.m.

A passenger in the Altima was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

The authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.
