3 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Employees Killed in Brewster County Helicopter Crash at TPWD’s Black Gap Wildlife Management Area

Brewster County, Texas (August 9, 2020) – Three Texas Parks and Wildlife Department employees were killed in a helicopter crash Saturday morning in Southeastern Brewster County, according to officials.

The fatal crash happened on August 8, in the TPWD’s Black Gap Wildlife Management Area.

Officials said the employees were conducting aerial surveys for desert bighorn sheep when the helicopter crashed.

The pilot was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The three passengers inside the helicopter were killed in the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
