2 Seriously Injured in Fiery Multi-Car Accident on Interstate 10 in Luling

2 Hospitalized after Interstate 10 Crash
Luling, Texas (April 18, 2019) – Two people were seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a fiery traffic collision on Interstate 10 just west of Luling, according to a local news source.
The wreck took place at around 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17 on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near the 625-mile marker.
Authorities said traffic on the Interstate 10 was slowing due to road construction work. One 18-wheeler traveling through the area was unable to slow down in time and crashed into the rear of another vehicle, causing a chain of crashes.
The cab of that truck then went on fire after the impact. Two tractor-trailer trucks, two cars, and a motor home all collided. The motor home was pulling a car on a trailer.
One person airlifted to San Antonio Military Medical Center while another was flown to Seton Medical Center. Both had major injuries.
All vehicles had extensive damages.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
