Burt Nomura Killed in Austin Hit-and-Run Crash on Seventh Street at Red River Street

Austin, Texas – A man was killed early Monday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Downtown Austin, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just after 2:30 a.m., on Seventh Street at Red River Street.

Police said an eastbound white-lifted pickup truck struck the man who was crossing East 7th Street at the intersection.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Burt Nomura,62.

The police are looking for the hit-and-run driver.

An investigation into the crash is underway. Investigators with APD’s Vehicular Homicide Unit are seeking information about the vehicle and driver. Anyone with details about the hit-and-run is asked to call 512-974-8111.
