Carlos Flores, Jamie Clark, Kathryn Cassella and Coyre McGallion Injured in Tioga Car Crash on U.S. 377 at Emberson Chapel Road
Tioga, Texas (December 8, 2022) – A Pilot Point man was killed and four other people were injured in a crash involving four vehicles in Tioga on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash occurred on U.S. 377 at Emberson Chapel Road on Tuesday, December 6.
DPS said a car, driven by Erik Rodriguez, 28, of Pilot Point, was waiting to make a left turn onto Emberson Chapel Road when he was struck from behind by an SUV, driven by Coyre McGallion, 22, of Woodville.
The impact pushed Rodriguez’s car into oncoming traffic, where it was hit by two other vehicles, driven by Jamie Clark, 37, of Tioga, and Kathryn Cassella, 63, of Tioga.
Bernabe Rodriguez, 52, of Pilot Point, who was riding as a passenger in Erik’s car, was declared dead at the scene.
Erik and another passenger in his car, Carlos Flores, 41, of Tioga, sustained serious injuries and were taken to Medical City Denton.
Cassella sustained serious injuries and was also taken to Medical City Denton. Clark was taken to Medical City Denton in stable condition.
McGallion was checked out and cleared by medical personnel.
Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.
DPS is investigating the crash.
