Cesar Torcero Critically Injured in Odessa Two-Vehicle at Interstate 20 and Grandview Avenue

Odessa, Texas (September 12, 2020) – A 19-year-old man was critically injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Odessa, according to police.

The crash happened around 4:43 p.m., September 10, in the area of Interstate 20 and Grandview Avenue.

Police said Cesar Torcero was driving a Ford F-150 when he failed to control his speed and rear-ended an 18-wheeler, which was stopped in the 1700 block of Interstate 20. 

Torcero was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The 18-wheeler driver, 50-year-old Israel Cadena, was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
