Chase Nelson Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35

Austin, Texas (June 3, 2022) – The man who was killed on May 28 in a hit-and-run accident in Austin has been identified as Chase Nelson, 31, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 1:18 a.m., in the 13300 block of southbound Interstate 35.

Police said Nelson was hit by a vehicle in the southbound lanes of the interstate.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information about the crash is asked to call the Highway Investigation Tip Line at (512) 974-8111.
