Two Killed, One Hospitalized after Irving Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 183 near MacArthur Boulevard and Belt Line Road
Irving, Texas (February 25, 2019) – Two people were killed, and another was critically injured early Monday morning in a wrong-way crash on an Irving highway, according to the police.
The fatal crash happened at about 3:00 a.m. on State Highway 183, near the Irving Mall, east MacArthur Boulevard and Belt Line Road.
Police said an SUV was heading eastbound in the westbound lanes of the highway when it collided head-on with a Corvette.
Both drivers were killed in the collision. A passenger in the SUV was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Both vehicles acquired major damage in the crash.
All the westbound lanes of the highway were closed following the crash.
Motorists were asked to seek alternate routes.
The police are investigating the crash.
