Chelsea Bucklew Injured in Austin Scooter Accident on West Fifth Street at North Lamar

Austin, Texas (July 2, 2019) – A woman was injured Sunday afternoon in a scooter accident in Austin, a local news source reported.

The accident took place around 4:50 p.m. June 30, at the intersection of West Fifth Street and North Lamar.

As per the report, Chelsea Bucklew, 28, was riding on a scooter along the roadway when she was hit by a car driven by 24-year-old Jonathan Violante.

Bucklew sustained a fractured skull and skin abrasions in the crash.

Violante was found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash and he faces an intoxication assault charge.

The crash remains under investigation.
