William Calhoun Killed in Brown County Two-Vehicle Crash on US Highway 183

Brown County, Texas (December 30, 2022) – A man was killed Wednesday evening in a rollover crash in Brown County, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened on December 28, on US Highway 183.

Authorities said Terry Dale Pruitt of May was driving southbound when they failed to control their speed and rear-ended an SUV driven by William Mark Calhoun, 70, of Early.

The impact caused the SUV to lose control and roll over, ejecting Calhoun. He was killed in the crash. His passenger, Rhonda Hart Calhoun, was taken to Hendrick Medical Center in Brownwood and was listed in stable condition.

Pruitt was treated and released.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
