Cheyenne Mather Killed in Liberty Hill Motorcycle Crash on RM 1869

Liberty Hill, Texas (December 30, 2021) – A woman was killed on Christmas Eve in a motorcycle crash, two miles west of Liberty Hill, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 6:14 p.m., December 24, on RM 1869.

DPS said two off-road motorcycles were traveling westbound in tandem and neither of them had front or rear lights.

A westbound 2009 Ford Escape struck both motorcycles, ejecting both riders.

The Ford driver fled the scene but was later located.

One of the motorcyclists, Cheyenne Mather, 48, of Liberty Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A GoFundMe set up by Garrett Hicks identified the second rider as Mather’s boyfriend, Matt. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

No other information regarding the crash was available.

An investigation is underway.

We pass our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Cheyenne Mather. We also wish the injured victim a quick recovery.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws, or statutes which were violated.
