Driver Injured in Collision with Police Vehicle on Young Drive in Killeen

Driver Hospitalized after Killeen Crash on Young Drive near Central Texas Expressway

Killeen, Texas (November 21, 2022) – A driver was hospitalized after a collision involving a Killeen Police Department vehicle in Killeen on Saturday night, according to the Killeen Police Department.

The crash occurred shortly before 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19 on W.S. Young Drive near Central Texas Expressway.

Killeen police said a Kia was heading westbound on Central Texas Expressway when it struck the police cruiser that was speeding with its lights and sirens turned on.

The driver of the Kia was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple in stable condition.

The officers were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

No other details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
