Police Officer Injured in Houston Motorcycle Crash on IH-69 Eastex Freeway

Houston, Texas (August 18, 2019) – A police officer was injured Saturday evening in a hit-and-run motorcycle crash in Houston, according to a local news source.

The accident happened on the IH-69 Eastex Freeway at Will Clayton Parkway Saturday, August 17.

As per the report, the officer was riding his motorcycle on the highway when for an unknown reason, he was hit by a GMC truck whoes driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and they found the officer lying in the roadway injured, but he was still conscious and breathing. The victim was then taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in unknown condition.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
