Christopher Lawren Whitehead Killed, Mario Antonio Bonilla Seriously Injured in Eastland County Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20

Eastland County, Texas (October 26, 2019) – One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Eastland County, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened on Thursday, October 24, on Interstate 20, near milepost 362.

DPS said Mario Antonio Bonilla, 39, of Dallas, was driving a 2020 International truck-trailer eastbound on I-20 while Christopher Lawren Whitehead, 45, of Breckenridge, was driving a 2014 Ford pickup truck westbound.

The Ford hydroplaned, crossed the median and hit the truck-trailer.

Whitehead was killed in the crash. His passenger, Brandon Darrell Roysdon, 29, of Albany, was taken to Eastland Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Bonilla was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Stephenville with serious injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
