Cinco Ranch High School Student Killed in Katy Bicycle Accident on Mason Road

14-Year-Old Boy Riding on Bicycle Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Mason Road and Cinco Park

Katy, Texas (September 28, 2023) – A 14-year-old boy died after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle Thursday morning in the Cinco Ranch area, according to authorities.

The deadly crash happened at around 6:47 a.m. on Mason Road and Cinco Park, which is close to Betty Sue Creech Elementary School.

Authorities said the boy was riding his bike to Cinco Ranch High School and was crossing the street in a crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle.

A good Samaritan performed CPR on the child, but the boy did not survive his injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

The driver, who is in his early 20s, stopped at the scene and cooperated with police.

The crash remains under investigation.
