Worker Killed in Houston Construction Accident on Water Works Way near Humble

Houston, Texas (August 9, 2020) – According to a local news source, a worker was killed in a construction accident Saturday morning in Houston.

The accident was reported just after 10:30 a.m., August 7, in the 12600 block of Water Works Way near Humble.

Officials said the contracted employee was working on a water main pipe about 35 feet underground when they were hit by a steel beam.

The worker became unconscious and had to be rescued. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s identity has not been released.

The authorities are investigating the accident.
