Demonte Gomez Killed in Tioga Motorcycle Crash on FM 121 near Vaughan Road

Tioga, Texas (August 21, 2022) – According to the Texas DPS, a motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon in a crash in Tioga.

The deadly accident happened just before 1:00 p.m., August 20, on FM 121 near Vaughan Road.

DPS said Brandon Jordy Ramirez was driving a truck with a trailer hitched heading westbound on the highway while Demonte Gomez was riding a motorcycle eastbound.

Gomez passed in a no-passing zone and collided with the truck.

Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The highway was closed for more than three hours after the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
