Deputy, Civilian Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash on Loop 323 in Tyler

Sheriff’s Deputy and Civilian Hospitalized after Tyler Crash on Loop 323 at E. Front Street

Tyler, Texas (January 31, 2023) – A deputy and a civilian were hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash on Sunday evening in Tyler, according to authorities.

The crash happened at around 400 p.m. Sunday, January 29, on Loop 323 at E. Front Street.

Authorities said a sheriff’s office deputy was driving northbound on Loop 323 responding to an active domestic disturbance with lights and siren activated.

As the deputy proceeded into the intersection at E. Front Street, another vehicle entered the intersection and was hit by the deputy.

A third vehicle was then hit after the initial collision

The deputy and the driver of the vehicle initially struck were taken to a hospital.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
