Deputy Laci Pierce Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 321 near Cleveland

Deputy Laci Pierce Injured in Cleveland Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 321 near CR 2243

Cleveland, Texas – A Liberty County deputy fire marshal was injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash south of Cleveland, according to a local news source.

The crash happened at about 8:20 a.m., on SH 321 near CR 2243.

According to the report, Laci Pierce was driving a 2014 Chevy Tahoe marked patrol unit westbound when a westbound 2002 Dodge 2500 driven by a Cleveland man pulled into her lane, causing Pierce to rear-end the Tahoe.

Pierce was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston with a mild concussion and some minor burns from the deployment of the vehicle’s airbags.

No other information was available.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
