Diego Martinez Killed in West El Paso Motorcycle Crash on Mesa

El Paso, Texas (October 2, 2023) – A 19-year-old man was killed Friday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in West El Paso, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:18 p.m., September 29, in the 3300 block of N. Mesa.

Police said Diego Ivan Benjamin Martinez was riding his Yamaha motorcycle northbound when he hit the passenger’s side of a Volkswagen Tiguan, which pulled onto the motorcycle’s path.

Martinez and the Volkswagen driver were taken to local hospitals, where Martinez died on Saturday, September 30.

No other information was available.

The crash remains under investigation.
