Faustino Garcia Killed in Bicycle Crash on US 59 in Domino

Faustino Garcia Killed in Cass County Bicycle Accident on US 59 near FM 3129

Domino, Texas (August 6, 2020) – A man was killed in a bicycle accident Tuesday afternoon in Cass County, according to DPS.

The deadly accident occurred around 2:47 p.m., August 4, on US 59 near FM 3129.

DPS said Faustino Garcia, 62, of Atlanta, Texas, was riding a bicycle northbound on the highway. A 2020 Nissan Altima was also traveling northbound on the entrance ramp and merging onto US 59.

For unknown reasons, Garcia turned in front of the Altima and was hit by the car.

Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Altima driver, 31-year-old Stewart Benson of Onaway, Michigan, was uninjured in the crash.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
