Driver Killed in DUI Car Crash on U.S. Highway 377 in Denton

One Killed in Denton Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 377
Denton, Texas (February 8, 2019) – A driver was killed early Thursday morning in suspected DUI crash on a Denton highway, according to a local news source.
The fatal crash happened at about 1:15 a.m. February 7, on U.S. Highway 377.
Police said a Mazda 3 was traveling northbound on the highway when Austin Shadle, 29, of Argyle, who was driving a Nissan Titan, lost control of his vehicle. The Nissan then slid into a ditch beside the road, veered into oncoming traffic and struck the Mazda into the driver’s side.
The Mazda driver was taken to the Medical City of Denton where they later died. The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
Shadle was also taken to the hospital for treatment and is facing a charge of intoxication manslaughter.
The police are investigating the crash.
