Woman Killed in Collin County Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on East Lucas Branch Road (FM 3286)

Collin County, Texas (July 7, 2020) – A woman was killed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Branch, Collin County, according to troopers.

The deadly accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. July 5, in the 7500 block of East Lucas Branch Road (FM 3286), between the Lake Lavon Bridge and FM 982, south of Princeton.

Troopers said a vehicle was heading eastbound on the highway when it struck the woman.

The woman was killed in the accident. Her name has not been released.

The vehicle fled the scene continuing eastbound and then northbound on FM 982. It might have damage to the front, including damage to one or both headlamps.

An investigation is underway. Anyone, including automotive body shop owners/employees, who have information about the lens, the fatal crash, or was in the area at the time, is urged to call Collin County DPS Trooper Williams at 214-861-2040.
