DPS Trooper Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Peek Road near Katy

DPS Trooper Injured in Katy Two-Vehicle Crash on Peek Road near Beckendorf

Katy, Texas (June 11, 2021) – A DPS trooper was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Thursday near Katy, according to the deputies.

The crash happened on June 10, on Peek Road near Beckendorf.

Deputies said a 2003 Chevy van ran a stop sign and hit the trooper who was in a marked vehicle.

The van flipped over after the crash. The van driver fled the scene.

The trooper sustained a cut to his hand.

The authorities are looking for the van driver.

An investigation is underway.
