Driver Killed in Crash Involving DART Train at Collins Grade Crossing in Richardson 

One Killed in Richardson DART Train-Vehicle Crash at Collins Grade Crossing near Arapaho Center Station

Richardson, Texas (April 27, 2020) – One person was killed Sunday evening in a traffic collision involving a DART train in Richardson, according to officials.

The accident took place at about 5:30 p.m., April 26, at Collins Grade Crossing, north of Arapaho Center Station.

Officials said a sedan failed to yield to the right-of-way at the crossing and was struck by a northbound Dallas Area Rapid Transit train.

The sedan driver was killed in the crash.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash closed both sides of the tracks. A shuttle bus was made available for passengers between Arapaho Center and Galatyn Park stations.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
