Paul Jones Killed in Archer County Pedestrian Accident on US 281 near Scotland

Archer County, Texas (September 16, 2020) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Sunday in Archer County near Scotland, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened on Sunday, September 13, on US 281.

DPS said Paul Jones, 46, of Wichita Falls, was standing at the rear of his parked car on the northbound shoulder when a northbound pickup truck veered onto the shoulder and hit him.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup driver was uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
