Dulce Salinas Killed in Car Crash on US 385 in Ector County

Dulce Salinas Killed in Ector County Two-Vehicle Crash on US 385 near Calcutta Street

Ector County, Texas (October 31, 2023) – The woman who was killed earlier this week in a two-vehicle crash in Ector County has been identified as 40-year-old Dulce Salinas, of Odessa, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened just after 1:00 p.m., October 28, on US 385 near Calcutta Street.

DPS said Salinas was driving a Kia Soul northbound on the highway when she was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Silverado whose driver failed to control his speed.

The force of the impact caused the Kia to roll multiple times.

Salinas was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Silverado driver, an 18-year-old, was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
